Outdoor Recreational Opportunities
The South Plains of Texas offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities that are accessible to the residents of Floydada. Within an hour's drive forum Floydada is Lake Mackenzie, Caprock Canyons State Park and Lake Theo (Briscoe County), White River Lake (Dickens County), Roaring Springs Ranch Club (Motley County), and Buffalo Springs Lake (Lubbock).
Other Regional Recreational Opportunities
Plainview, a 30 minute drive, offers several recreational and cultural opportunities - Fair Theatre, Cinema 6 movie theater, Kidsville (park), YMCA and Plainview Country Club are just a few.
